>>>Sure.. this thread is not directly addressed to who believe in this or that... Or how cool president should be using this or that.. But, on what a president could swear to be so valuable for everyone.
>>
>>You're missing the point. If everybody was swearing in, then you might have a point, but what's the use of asking a single person to swear on something in which he doesn't believe just because some other people might? It would be meaningless.
>
>No no... Sorry but you're missing the point... The point is about what is most sacred (for fellows americans and EVERYONE, president included).. That exchange the bible's icon.. In so important occasions (as oath for instance)..

Whatever is sworn upon must be sacred to the swearer, or the oath means nothing. The "fellow Americans" aren't taking an oath, only Obama is, and what he swears upon must be sacred to him. If the "fellow Americans" were taking the oath, then what they swear upon must be sacred to them.

Me swearing an oath on something sacred to you, but that I care nothing about is an oath worth nothing.

>>>What is the highest value that link you and others US citizens.. That could be used in a presidential Oath.. That could address your heart to know: "he had a compromisse now"
