Yes, just do a direct cast to "int" instead of converting it to a string, then back into an int.

Replace this:

int.Parse(dsx.Tables[0].Rows[0]["udfc1txtbxloc"].ToString())

With

(int) dsx.Tables[0].Rows[0]["udfc1txtbxloc"]
