>Making drugs illegal certainly has stopped drug sales and use in this country. What percentage of criminals who use a firearm in the criminal activity are on drugs or involved in the transfer or sale of drugs?

Criminalising recreational drugs has been the most effective way of funding organised crime. The war on drugs has been about as effective as the war on terror and linked . the destruction of Afghan poppy fields was a major boost for extremists there.

Its a medical problem and should always have been treated as such.
