>I received my copy of visual studio 6.0 today and was wondering about installation. Is it better to uninstall all my other packages before hand or install over the current versions. Any help would be appreciated as I hope to avoid any problems that maybe someone has found out during installation.

VS will prompt you to uninstall previous versions. If you don't need to maintain code in the previous version, you can have it uninstall. If you need to keep older code, uncheck the uninstall options and put VS 6.0 in a different directory.
