Me? Now way. <g>.

Actually, I like making noise about any cool stuff for VFP, so I'm not showing favorites here. If Craig Boyd would bring on his VFP Studio, I'd be yacking about it too. There hasn't been a single word from them about that product since SWF2008.

Oh yeah, here's a little more info about eTecnologia, which I'm sure you already know, but others may not...

eTecnologia.net has a suite of VFP .NET software comprised of three things...

1. .NET Compiler - Complile your existing VFP forms and PRGS to run on the .NET framework libraries. After compiled, neither the VFP runtime libaries nor any VFP license not even needed at all to run the app. Runs from within VFP to make an EXE that runs on top of NET framework libraries. http://www.etecnologia.net/Products/CLRExtender/CLRExtender-index.htm

2. .NET Extender - Use real .NET components and assemblies right in your VFP apps. http://www.etecnologia.net/MasterGallery.htm

3. VFP Developer Studio - One use that I am interested in is...It seems that it could be used as a replacement IDE for VFP. It will allow creating, editing maintaining VFP apps, SCX, VCX, PRG, all that, right in the VFP Developer Studio IDE. When you are finished working on your VFP assets in Developer Studio, you can either compile the app to run on the .NET framework libraries or go into VFP and compile it just like always. It's cool to work on VFP SCX and VCX files in a tool that is not even VFP, then go right back into VFP and still be able to edit your forms and classes. http://vfpnet-compiler-community-support-group.googlegroups.com/web/VFPDevStudio_Intellisense.png

Developer Studio is based on the SharpDevelop .NET IDE, so it can also be used to create full-blown .NET apps too, or hybrid apps, where you can use VFP code in your .NET apps. Think about... Open a VFP DBF table in a .NET Winform, and bind .NET controls on the form to the cursor, then move the recordpointer and watch it update. And Microsoft didn't want to include VFP in the .NET languages platform.

Check out this screen shot of a test form I made in VFP and then ran it as a VFP compiled exe, and then the same form running the .NET runtime right from their IDE called VFP Developer Studio (without *any* VFP runtimes involved at all).

New beat due out this week. I've been promised it is still on schedule.
