You seem to be making the same assumption Bill was earlier today -- that the stimulus package is just throwing money away and piling up the debt. If it pulls us out of the economic rut we're in and gets America moving again, it will be money well spent. It will be more than recouped by increased tax revenue, reduced unemployment spending, etc.

That's not saying it's guaranteed to work. I don't think anyone can say that with any assurance. But jeez Louise, we've got to do something. The economy is circling the drain.
