Yes, i could see that your response was tongue-in-cheek!

Figures like 50,000 factories or trillions of dollars are so large they may defy imagination. So I'm getting into the habit of converting bail-out figures into numbers whose proportions are easier to digest. For example, bearing in mind that the US Navy tries to maintain a fleet of 12 nuclear carriers of various ages, the 1.6 Trillion dollar figures being bandied around today would be enough to build >250 brand new nuclear aircraft carriers of the same class as the latest "George Bush." The US Navy in total since aircraft carriers were invented has only ever built 66 of them and the total number of aircraft carriers ever built by all nations is 232.
"... They ne'er cared for us
yet: suffer us to famish, and their store-houses
crammed with grain; make edicts for usury, to
support usurers; repeal daily any wholesome act
established against the rich, and provide more
piercing statutes daily, to chain up and restrain
the poor. If the wars eat us not up, they will; and
there's all the love they bear us.
