At least the $600million included in the 'stimulus' for more digital TV converters for the people who were too lazy to do something over the last 2+ yearsOK. In that case, $1.6T is enough to provide every man, woman and child in the US with not just one digital TV converter, not just two digital TV converters, but (wait for it) two for every digit on both hands and both feet, including a 100% bonus allowance for anybody who does not have a full complement of digits. ;-)
"... They ne'er cared for us
yet: suffer us to famish, and their store-houses
crammed with grain; make edicts for usury, to
support usurers; repeal daily any wholesome act
established against the rich, and provide more
piercing statutes daily, to chain up and restrain
the poor. If the wars eat us not up, they will; and
there's all the love they bear us."
-- Shakespeare: Coriolanus, Act 1, scene 1
