Nancy,
Thanks, I am glad you like the idea. Help yourself.
I am also planning on adding a feature that would display the error message and give the option to add the list. I would also like to do a "quick fill" with the same list. Just trying to find the time.
On other thing I did is that you can double click on the associated label of the text box to change field properties. Things like label caption, default value, enable right click, validate and the ability to turn on/off the Edit, New and Delete buttons. This really adds a lot of flexibilty for the user and administrator.
It sounds like we are going in the same direction.
Kind Regards,
Mat
I like how you've solved the dilema of maintaining delimited lists...
I do something similar, but I do use a combobox. If an invalid entry is made, than the maintenance form is run so the user can add, edit, etc. They can also get to it by right clicking. My base classes popup up a right click menu that includes an option for going to the maintenance form--if there is one for the field.
I like your idea of doing this in a regular textbox though too. May I steal your idea someday *bg*?>
