At Bata/Bolivia, there are around 40 users - but I am not sure how many ever use the system at any one time.
My former boss talked about a system with about 300 users.
The real limitation would be the server capacity, and possible network bottlenecks. Mainly the latter - it may be necessary to do some network improvements. Also, some optimization may help. For example, we had to change some filtered tables (especially in parent-child scenarios) to local (parameterized) views.
Or just wait and see whether everything works at a reasonable speed.
