Some 10 years back maybe, but today many belive that peacefull outcome is no longer even possible. Simply to much blood has been spilled for anything to work. After Lebanon 2006 and now Gaza there is enough anger/hatred fuel to run conflict for another eternity.

There was a serious peace proposal on the table brought up by Arabs, but it never got real chance due to continous string of events.
