Thanks for the response. I'm have to use a modal at one point to ensure a reponse from the user that guides the rest of the process. I got a copy of TList Pro per Michals suggestion and first look seems to solve the probem plus adding a bunch of functionality. The work around now is to make the outline control dimensionless (0 height and width) and redimension and reposition only when the particular page is activated. I have not tried any of this with VFP5. Side note is that many of controls with VFP5 work just fine in the VFP3 ole container. I have both version on one system and while looking for the graph server control noticed (naturally) that all the VFP5 controls were registered with W95. Slider, treeview, internet explorer worked fine.....
