Interesting points! Now, in your experience, how would the results of such a poll be reported by the media? Would the results of the second question be presented as if they were in answer to the first?
But I tend not to trust these kinds of conditional questions, and you give a good example why not. I far prefer seeing questions like "Do you think the president should serve out his term?" even though there may be one or two dimbulbs in the survey who don't realize they're being asked about impeachment as well as resignation. :)
