>>>I'm not sure anything could be worse than the disease our economy has now. We have to do something. The Senate is still tweaking the stimulus package, then if they pass it the House and Senate bills will have to be reconciled. It won't surprise me if parts of this bill go away.

>>Throwing away TRILLIONS of dollars when we are already massively in debt?

>>Adding a new tax burden that will have to be paid for by the next several generations?

>>Bankrupting the people who weren't already ruined by bad/stupid investments and business practices?

>We have had this discussion before. A government stimulus program can recoup more in tax revenue and reduced unemployment spending than it costs.
This is possible if it is well thought out and implemented.
We are now talking about a series of spending bills that are the largest expenditures in the history of Earth.
We had one thought out and planned in a couple of months - now the people who passed it are wondering where the money went and what the result was.
Now they are about to pass a BIGGER one after a month's planning. There will be bigger ones to come this year.
Go ahead and tell me it is well thought out.
