I think I struggled with the similar problems in the past and probably posted about it, but haven't found a satisfactory answer.

You may try to play with the "start a new page if ..." (forgot exact steps how to invoke this dialog), but then you would need to determine the number with many trials, and it still may not work correctly for some values.
