I have always used that approach to compress the log:

Backup Log MyDatabase With Truncate_Only

Use MyDatabase

DBCC ShrinkFile (MyDatabase,1)

However, on a new database, I cannot execute this. I obtain:

"'Truncate_Only' is not a recognized BACKUP option."

What could be different in the setup on that database so I cannot execute this command?
