It helps to give you a context when you don't receive much in the way of responses. If you see 2 views and no responses, well you probably need to be more patient (or your subject line is horrible and people are just skipping it). If you see 30 views and no responses either you're question is too vague/hard to understand or no one knows. Either way you have at least some idea on how to proceed - add additional info, rephrase the question, or post elsewhere.

(Yeah, yeah, I can think of a bunch of other reasons why you might not receive a response - those were just examples.)
