The abri solution fixes that start up problem, not the list box problem (filer uses a list box). You can get list box problems in FPW2.6 if you use a character variable instead of a numeric as the list value - that is where the variable takes on the string value of the list item rather than a numeric match to position in the list.
Of interest is that running Win95 on my 233MHz laptop I almost always got the "insufficient memory" error. I just ignored it and things seemed to work eventually. I'm now running Win98 on the same machine and almost never get the error :-)
