>It's pretty standard on most forums though. Posters want to know how many times their question has been viewed by others. Experienced users want to know which threads have the most activity (perhaps it's an interesting discussion). Look at the column right next to the # of replies here:

I agree that it can be useful - but it might be better, for UT, if the count was shown in the message treeview. That would avoid the issue I mentioned - .i.e having to view the actual message to see how many counts it has and, as a result, further incrementing the value...
