Programs I wrote in Fox code up to 25 years ago are still being used and the customers are very happy. One client has an investment of 300K + in some of this older code. I don't think it should be considered obselete just because MS decides to go off in another direction. It's all greed, in my book.....the same thing that caused the economic mess the whole world is in.
I'll take my chances on the "browser quirks". I've been doing some web work for about 10 years now and it's not all that bad. Besides, my 14 y.o. grandson is interested in this area and so it gives us some common ground.

>>I agree and I don't know if I want to waste time learning about it and its Aero. I'm thinking about retiring from desktop programing and switch over to just web work where all I have to be concerned about is the code working in a particular browser. MS is turning me off with its 'new' systems breaking my code:(
