Agreed, for me it's been a painful process just to work with the thing. It's unbelievable that MS cannot make a secure OS w/o making it "secure" from legitimate users.
Do you know of any web sites with detailed info on how to deal with some of the overly "secure" features of the thing? E.g. is there a way to register an exe ( w/o a full install process executed ) with the OS so Vista will not prompt every time the exe is launched?
