The resource file was not setup in tools, so I have done that.
Some of intelsense now seems to be working but not all.
I also did a clean up and tried deleting foxuser.

The intelsense is working in the command window .
The custom is also working in a form (ie if I type DOCASE, I get the . . . . ENDCASE
BUT if I type This. or thisform. nothing shows up.

any ideas where this problem could be coming from ?

1. It sounds like you lost foxuser.dbf. Go to Tools -> Options -> File Locations -> Resource File and make sure that it's enabled and points to a valid foxuser.dbf. Don't forget to save settings by pressing 'Set As default'.
If it doesn't help, delete foxuser.dbf.

2. Go to the Intellisense Manager, Advanced tab, click on Clen Up... button and click on Restore Foxcode button. It should restore the default IntelliSense table for native Visual FoxPro language elements.
