>>>>Not a good analogy, but when somone loses a limb for medical reasons, do we just chop it off with no consider to pain and suffering? Has it ever been acceptable to euthanize animals without consideration to pain and suffering? Why are some weapons used in warfare deemed too violent and painful for use even in a time of war? Or is killing just killing no matter how it is done? Should everyone stop defending themselves or should we just go hog-wild and use whatever means are available to get the job done? The end result is the same regardless. It looks like your sole intention was not to focus on medical procedure but rather your ideological views.
>>>
>>>Your wrong about my intention.
>>>So you honestly believe that what happened to this baby is that much different from what would have happened during and after an abortion.
>>>We euthanize our pets more humanely.
>>>
>>>What makes you believe the baby feels no pain during an abortion at 23+ weeks?
>>>It's rhetorical. You don't have to answer.
>>>
>>>Look, this thread was not really about abortion anyway. It was about how we read and hear about new born infants being thrown away in dumpsters and how parents murder their own babies and we all gasp in horror when in reality it goes on hundreds times a day every day in clinics all over this country.
>>>
>>>If this topic offended you, maybe you should ask yourself why.
>>
>>I know exactly why I was offended. I don't have a problem with people's honest feelings about pro or anti abortion. I get offended when someone takes a tragedy, sticks on a sarcastic subject line and tries to use it to make points. And that's exactly what I believe you did. Notice that I'm not alone in having taken it that way.
>
>Make points? More like make my point. I usually get grilled for things like this. I didn't do this because I like being scathed.
>
>I ask again.... why is this a tragedy?
>In the end, what was intended to happen happened.

I'll tell you what. You find me a normal human being on either side of the abortion debate who thinks this was a good thing, and we'll discuss it further. Otherwise, you're just proselytising.

I'll say one other thing. Believe it or not, I have no problem with your views on abortion whether I agree with you or not. If you had posted this story with a subject line that showed some glimmer of sensitivity, I'd not have said a word about it. Your subject line says it all. The event seems to have meant nothing more to you than a opportunity to preach.
