Actually, my point was that HAD the doctor showed up (and for the price she was paying, he certainly should have), this would have been a 3rd trimester abortion and nothing would have made the news. My definition of 'human' is the point at which the fetus can survive outside the host's body without support: heart beats, lungs work, etc. Whether or not this was the case, however, I don't know, and I don't remember if the remains were found again so that an autopsy could have been performed. So, whether or not it was a viable human is up in the air.

And yes, I have a real cold viewpoint on this - having seen far too many animals (human and otherwise) almost have the life sucked out of them by the little parasite they're carrying.
