On further looking into this issue I found that VFP application can track the WM_INPUTLANGCHANGE message to be notified on keyboard layout changes.

For this VFP9 is required due to its extended BINDEVENT() function allowing to link code execution to windows messages. In VFP7, if this is the version you use, this is not possible without using an external library.
