>>>To be honest, this does not make sense at all. I've been trying to use the search feature (which the biggest reason for being a PUTM) the last week and found it totally useless: There is no way I can search for a message with two keywords in it. Instead it will give me a message that it found more than 500 messages (because the individual keywords returns more than 500 messages) and I need to redefine my search. The OR you use should be an AND, unless hinted (in whatever way) otherwise.

>>I agree 100%, an AND based search is the ONLY meaingful search . When I search, I want AND 99.99% of the time, the remaining 0.01% I can live without.

>I agree. I believe we always want to search for all words inclusive, but the words themselves may appear in any order in the message.
With most (all?) search engines, I always find myself adding more words to search for when I get too many hits. Getting more hits by adding more words would be a nightmare.
