>>>>I need to get someone a very simple MP3 player that has very easy to use software to load songs on to it. My girl loves her iPod, but the iTunes software is much more complicated to use (for me anyway) that it needs to be. A friend of mine - not computer literate much - wants to get a player and I want to make it as foolproof as possible. I've tried to just copy songs onto an iPod, but if you don't use the iTunes, it doesn't seem to work. Any recommendations for either the player or the software?

>Really? I've heard just the opposite. I think the market is pretty good for mp3 players - it's just finding one with an interface that the user is compatible with.

The first two Zens both had a problem with the headphone connection. One was replaced under warranty (only just inside the date) the other was outside the date but they replaced with a reconditioned one for a fee. The one replaced inside the warranty date has now stopped working.
