You cannot do that from within VFP. You've to create 2 separate shortcuts.
>How do I use 2 different when this is the VFP application I am running? I do not have 2 installs of VFP 8 so 2 config.fpw files cannot live in the same directory "c:\program files\MS Visual Foxpro 8". If you look at the set8Envir code I included I test for VFP already being open, then set the resource to a different directory. I really don't understand what you are saying. Maybe you could show some code?

>>>I did that first. Both locations have the foxuser.dbf and a _command.prg file. I understand that _command file is what vfp wrwites to when it closes?? I open vfp twice, the first is VFP-DEV. The second is VFP-TEST. I want them to use different resource files but they seem to be defaulting to the same one. I use this code in the file that starts from config.fpw. abvout have down the below code you will see the code for using the different resource files.

If the vfp8 window doesn't exist I set resource file to the root of vfp8 otherwise I set it to a subfolder. It was working fine until the other day and I haven't a clue what I changed. I cannot get it back.
