>Correction : They are actually running Windows Server 2003. My error log on this system is littered with error #1104 and # 2005. This was not occurring before.
Is your app running on the server itself, or from workstations that are accessing shared tables on the server?
Is the server new, or are these new problems with a server that has been running fine for a while?
Any changes to the workstations? Are they Vista or XP?
If you're seeing these errors in your error log(s) on workstation(s), have you looked at the System and Application event logs on the server for possible clues? Or the same event logs on the workstations, for that matter?
If your data files are shared on a server, error 1104 implies a file read problem, often due to a network disconnection or timeout. This could be caused by:
- bad infrastructure: network cabling, switches/hubs or network adapters in computer(s)
- improper network configuration e.g. DNS
