Just a followup on my purchase of a Samsung monitor from NewEgg.

I ordered:

Open Box deal from NewEgg
SAMSUNG T240HD Rose-Black 24" 5ms HDMI Widescreen HDTV Monitor
Dolby 3 W speakers
Price including shipping: $370.40

When the box arrived I inspected the contents carefully. Everything seemed exactly as I would have expected with a brandnew box. All the extras were nestled in their little compartments and wrapped up as if fresh from the factory.

When I turned it on I couldn't see any "dead pixels". Thought I had some but a moistened kleenex wiped them away.
