Hi Nancy - put a wait window there? :) If it's what I think it might be, there's a bug in vfp5 where when you click on the page when editing in a textbox, the valid doesn't fire. You also lose buffered edits, that's the real problem I've had. You can use lostfocus instead of valid to workaround the first one, but not the lost-buffer problem. I just checked, though, and this has been fixed in vfp6 (hooray!)- I can remove all that line object code in my page inits now :)
