As long as we're going over our heritage.
I have a commercial application that was originally written in dbCompiler and released in 1984, then re-written in Clipper a couple of years later, then re-written in Foxpro/Dos and Foxpro/Win when it was released (can't remember the year), then converted to VFP6 when it came out, and has been released in VFP7, 8, and finally 9 in 2008. Currently in it's 24th year of commercial distribution and going strong.
Distributed with a site license and we estimate there are over 20,000 users of our application.
Anyone want to re-write the next version when VFP will no longer be a viable option?
>>So, what's the longest-running custom-built application you've seen out in Fox-land? Can anyone top 5,800+ days of daily use of an application? I have an application that went live on 1/1/93 and has been running daily ever since.
>>Just curious to see how unique (or not) this might be.

>10/27/93 is the oldest date listed in the screen builder generated .prgs in our Student Management program. Still used on a daily basis. Not perfectly stable, and "development" has been ongoing through today. I'm still working on the rewrite in VFP 8.
