Full SQL support "is coming shortly", VFP databases are fully supported

Pertti, can you tell us what SQL Support is needed? SPT should be fairly easy. Is it RVs/CA for SQL that's still underway?

What really interests me is the ability to compile the same VFP app to multiple standards, including some not yet invented. A VFP form created in 1995 can be compiled as a Winform or for WPF or Silverlight. When better new options appear it can be compiled again as long as Etecnologia or "the VFP community" can be bothered writing the compiler plugin. That's cool. In contrast, I can tell you that stuff we wrote for NET in 2002 was profoundly obsolete by 2005 and would have needed 4 rewrites to keep up to date with the latest-greatest which is the only way to guarantee that it is maintainable.
"... They ne'er cared for us
yet: suffer us to famish, and their store-houses
crammed with grain; make edicts for usury, to
support usurers; repeal daily any wholesome act
established against the rich, and provide more
piercing statutes daily, to chain up and restrain
the poor. If the wars eat us not up, they will; and
there's all the love they bear us.
"
