An MSK file is just a BMP with a different extension. It is used to mask the transparent "color" from designated areas of your bitmap. It should have the same name as the BMP (ie: new.bmp & new.msk). To create the MSK, simply open the original in MS-Paint (or any other graphics program) and paint all areas that you do not want any transparancy with black. Then "Save as" the mask file (new.msk). You may have to rename it manually if you do it in MS-Paint because it instsists on adding a .BMP extension no matter what you do. This results in names like "new.msk.bmp" when you Save as new.msk.
