Mabry asock32 license?
Working on a legacy system. Not much organizational memory as far as IT is concerned.
I attempt to modify a form. I get a message that there is no license found for the MABRY asock32.ocx also called AsyncSocket control. Googling, I find that MABRY has been out of business since 2006.
Though the form load balks on trying record 7 where the control is, it still loads. I cannot see or edit the code in the On Receive event of a two way asynchronous transmission. I can see the code by hacking the SCX and I assume this would be an effective way to modify the program.
Does anyone have any experience with this issue? The running progam obviously has a license because the transmissions are accomplished. Is there a special design license. Is there a file name that I could look for? Is this a regsrv32 issue? I was able to register the OCX on the design machine with regsrv32 and I can set it as an activeX control option in the form controls selection tool.
