>>I tried to use this a little while ago to help someone setup their new laptop, but sometimes I had control, and sometimes I didn't. When it came to the point where I was making changes to programs, settings, installing, etc, then it would not let me do it. Other times it did. Why? Also, is there a free alternative to take over control so I can really have complete control?

Oddly, I'm already registered there, but I don't recall using it before. On first glance, I can't see how I can get the person who's laptop I want to access in my list. Does he have to logon as me from that laptop? Then I could get to it? He is very technically challenged. Not sure he could handle a lot of installation type stuff.
