That's what I thought. So I repeated it as you stated. After choosing override... I then clicked Apply to set the changes and set as default.
I exited VFP, restarted it and examined the tools/options parameters for the IDE, Code Windows. It has the settings that you mention.

However, when I open a form method, the line/column position do not show in the status bar.

What am I missing now?
