Don't know if this will work with VFP7 but try anyway.

After you start up VFP (and it minimises itself to the task bar), restore it to full screen and then um-maximise it (middle control button).
Now resize the window to fit the whole screen and then click the "X" to close.

Now start it up again and if it does not open minimised, you are almost there. Maximise the window (_screen)and close it again ("X")

Now it should behave normally in future.

With VFP9 I had a similar prob. where all my toolbars lined up at the left. Doing the above solved it for me.

By the way do you still have a blog and what has become of the VFPX project?
