This articles mentioned the use of WITH COMPRESSION when doing a backup. It certainly does compress. Based on that sample, the ratio was impressive. But, I am wondering, if we have that option, would there be some kind of risk when doing a restore. Otherwise, I am wondering why this wouldn't be the case by default.
