Interesting. For whatever reason I had thought the deletion marker was a bit (I should have taken the time to read the FP layout specs)... but what you are saying/saw makes sense. My using RECALL followed by DELETE "cleared" the non-asterisk then properly deleted it. I just had never seen this.
