think you whitewash it too much. We have to fill out 50 page RFI's for technology and they want to know everything about what is in your software,:what controls, what language, what technology, etc., everything. One wrong answer like saying its written in VFP could kill the deal

Which is why de-emphasizing the VFP and emphasizing the NET assembly has been suggested by some here. Happens a lot- Toyota worked hard in the US to distinguish Lexus from standard Toyota vehicles for the same sort of reason: people couldn't associate Toyota with a luxury vehicle, so Toyota vanished the association. And Lexus did well.
"... They ne'er cared for us
yet: suffer us to famish, and their store-houses
crammed with grain; make edicts for usury, to
support usurers; repeal daily any wholesome act
established against the rich, and provide more
piercing statutes daily, to chain up and restrain
the poor. If the wars eat us not up, they will; and
there's all the love they bear us.
"
