Yeah, I kind of made it sound like you absolutely had to have a single card that supported multiple monitors - that's definitely not the case.

I haven't seen that as an issue. My primary monitor is 1900x1200 and the secondary monitor (off the same card) is 1280x1024. The other card is set at 1280x1024 for the third monitor.
