>Excuse me, but now i have a grid and on the top a text box where when i begin to write starts an incremental search on the grid that moves pointer to the record i searched. Every new character i write the pointer is moved. In a sql environment an option like this is possible ? And Record locking ? I work in a disconnected environment and when i save data i check like in optimistic buffering ?

Yes, it is possible. But, that would be done on a client server approach. Basically, you pull down the necessary records for the current view. Then, on request from the user, you pull more records, the related ones, and so on.
