Bill,

Go to http://www.hp.com and search for article 'c01072463' HP Printers and All-in-Ones - Print Jobs are Stuck in the Print Queue and Will Not Print with a USB Connected Printer in Windows Vista. It may be related to your problem.

>We recently acquired a new computer with Vista Home Premium 64bit OS. We have an HP PSC 1200 printer (~4 years old) with USB connection that we hooked up to the Vista computer. Vista recognized the printer and loaded its drivers for it. However, we are seeing the following printing problems:
>
>- VFP 6.0 app using REPORT ... TO PRINT will not print. Attempts to print from the report preview window also fail. Simply nothing happens when the print button is clicked.
>
>- Office 2003 Word documents will not print. The printer clicks some like it receives data but then nothing happens.
>
>Interestingly, IE pages will print, but I am wondering if this is beacuse it is the IE 64bit version that came with the OS.
>
>A search of the HP web site helped none. HP has no drivers for the printer for Vista. Vista's "native" drivers are all there is.
>
>Has anyone seen/heard this and is there a fix?
