Hi All,

Well I got my machine back today with a replacement SCSI harddrive to replace the one that QUIT in mid-install of VS 6.0.

Since the original install was onto the drive that failed, the install was less-than-virginal. Overall, though, it seemed to go OK.

But I am somewhat confused about the fact that it *NEVER* asked for CD-ROM 3 of the VS CD-ROMS!

Is this normal, or is there something more to be done/run?

I admit that I haven't (yet) got through the myriad of READMExx.HTMs which are included - after waiting for a week to get this thing rolling, I basically ploughed ahead and hoped for the best.

By the way, the MSDN CD-ROM *DID* get called for and it installed OK.

Any words of wisdom out there? (and I plan to start learning VB as soon as I can buy some books on it).

PS WOW! The new IE4 which comes with VS 6 now scrolls the entry area when I get to the end of the visible window. FINALLY!!
