>>>He did in 1998. But even in Wikipidia, there is no mention as to why. We are to address him as Sir Elton John.

Wanker!

> A few years ago when a song he performed was nominated for an Oscar he agreed to sing it at the awards ceremony only if he was guaranteed to be the last musician on. Yeah, OK, he was a Beatle.

Believe it or not - coming from Liverpool myself, and growing up with their fame (I saw their very 1st TV performance on the local news/magazine evening show) I really don't see what all the fuss about the Beatles is.

> He still seems like a pompous arse. Has he completely forgotten being a scruffy kid from Liverpool?

I don't think he actually was a scruff. I think he and Lenon both came from middle class families.

What pissed me off was Ringo doing a gig for Liverpool's City of Culture celebrations. He is cr@p, doesn't live there, has said insulting things about his home town and angered his remaining fans by telling them to stop sending him and mail (I think that was made worse by his Simpsons appearance where he said to Marge that he answers all his fan mail)
- Whoever said that women are the weaker sex never tried to wrest the bedclothes off one in the middle of the night
- Worry is the interest you pay, in advance, for a loan that you may never need to take out.
