I had a triple feature. I watched Fellini's Satiricon in Italian, with Dutch subtitles, and a friend translated a few bits into English.

But the weirdest experience of all was when I watched a local Hungarian theater troupe in Novi Sad (i.e. the minority rights went that far that they did have their own, state funded, theater) with simultaneous translation, headphones and all. It's one thing to watch a recording, or even a direct transmission (which is not exactly the meaning of prenos... transfer maybe), and quite another to be watching live actors only six meters away from you acting in Hungarian, while hearing a disembodied voice saying the same thing in Serbian at pretty much the same time. That was downright screwy. I still remember whether I had a couple of drinks before or after that, or whether I had any at all, I'm still dizzy on the experience.
