I have found VFP Timers to be unreliable for running on an open form continuously for days at a time. I use the Windows Scheduler to call my .exe every 3 minutes with a parameter like:
my.exe 2

I check the calling parameters, and if the .exe was called with 2 I run the timer processes and then let the .exe close.

All my weird Timer issues are gone now.
