I've ran the program on my manager's PC who has Office 2007. It worked fine for him except that when I opened the file it prompted me about wrong format (I guess because the extension was XLS) and also the totals were not in green (back the same problem I had originally). But even 70K records worked for him (long time opening the Excel, though).

So, I conclude that my Office installation is wrong here.

I may ask to re-install Office for me.
