That's a good pastime - or, alternately, catching translators in flagranti :). Specially nowadays, when many more people back home speak languages well (we all had anywhere between four and ten years of a foreign language, but most of the people would forget most of that as soon as they graduate high school). Looking at the language forum (at parapsihopatologija.com - but it's in Serbian, though we have many members from other ex-Yu countries, and we all understand each other without a hitch), the latest pearls (I've translated them back):

"Are you trying to give me heartburn?" - translated as "are you trying to burn my heart?"
"west end girls" - "the west and the girls" (probably without script, misheard)
"green freshman" - "green nerd girl"
"the Pygmy tribe" - "the tribe of Pygmalions"
"acqusition of career management skills" - French "l'acqusition de la capacité á s'orienter", back to English "capacity of finding one's way" (source: EU)
(guy pays the bartender:) "here's for the pitcher" - "here's for the thrower"
